I’m tempted to apologize for the lateness of sharing these, but as I mentioned in this post about my New Year Resolution, I gave myself some time off after the holidays to relax and recharge. So I’m giving myself a pass this time…
The folks at Company Shops Market asked if we could stop by and take some photos of this year’s Holiday Magic event, held annually in the historic downtown area of Burlington, NC. Volunteers were handing out hot chocolate and telling residents about the co-op grocery that will be opening here this spring.

There’s nothing like the jingle bells of a horse and carriage to get you in the mood for the winter holidays!

Hot chocolate is the perfect treat for the young and young at heart on a chilly holiday eve.
There was a steady line for the popular and festive carriage rides.
In fact, I’m a bit envious of these lucky folks who had a lovely tour of Downtown Burlington in a horse drawn carriage. I had hoped to take a ride myself but we were out of time with places to be. Plus, with all the people already in line, they were pretty much sold out for the evening. I bet you can guess what I’ll be doing just about this time next year.
It looks like someone else wants a ride too:
