The Haw River Ballroom is owned and run by some lovely folks we are lucky enough to call friends. We’ve been known to come here for concerts, birthday parties, fresh baked delights from the in-house coffee shop, ping-pong nights, poetry readings and more. We were delighted and thrilled when we were contacted early this year by Anne & Andrew about photographing a fall wedding at the Ballroom.
Located in a restored textile mill, the ballroom retains its industrial roots in this soaring three story high space. Full of old world vintage charm, you will find wood floors, exposed brick walls, state of the art sound system and two balconies that overlook everything.
Here are a few images from Anne & Andrew’s recent wedding. They chose to hold both the ceremony and the reception inside the ballroom. Opting for a farm table style setup, long wide tables circled the room with the center area left open for dancing. During the ceremony, the tables were pushed to the wall and chairs were set up on the dance floor.
