Luck-y Life: I feel so lucky to have quite a few farmers, chefs, and restaurant owners for friends. Countless amazing meals later, I have come to value the HUGE difference between ‘conventional food’ and the high quality foods raised with love by our local farms. When Suzanne Nelson of Cozi Farm mentioned she was hosting a pig picking’/farm tour this weekend, we grabbed some friends and headed her way. One of my favorite parts about eating local foods is that we can visit nearby farms and get to know the people who grow/raise the food we are eating. We’ve actually known Suzanne since before she became a part-time and then full-time farmer. She’s a woman with a vision and the determination to make “Real Food” her life’s work. If you want meat that was raised ethically with a lot of thought, love and care; Cozi Farm is a great place to find it.
