I wrote about my decision to run the track in my recent Wilder Girl series post. If you’ve ever been to an event like this, you know there is a lot of down time. A LOT. Forgive my stereotyping generality, but I think thats one of the reasons so many men like it. It’s like going fishing, where you stand around and shoot the breeze most of the day, except you get a few exciting laps around the racetrack too.

And…. If you are lucky enough to be friends with a photographer, she just might take photos of you. In between HER trips around the racetrack ;)

What I loved about this event is that its intended to be purely a fun day. No racing. No passing. Fun but beginner safe speeds dictated by the pace car. I saw everything from a minivan to a F350 truck to vintage muscle cars to sleek lambroghinis rounding the track. Learn more about VIR’s annual Holiday Laps event
