It was exciting to see so many folks come out and fill the pub this morning. The Alamance Food Collaborative hosted their Coffee and Discussion Public Candidate Forum this morning, in conjunction with Plate of the Union, Community Food Strategies, and Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, and The Eddy Pub. The purpose of the event was to introduce the public and elected officials to the release of Alamance Food Collaborative’s Strategic Plan and to provide a nonpartisan opportunity for local constituents to hear the positions of each candidate on issues related to food, health and agriculture.
