Governor Bev Perdue visited Downtown Burlington, NC today. She was here to “get a first-hand look at businesses that will benefit from the grants. She will also talk with business owners and local officials about the Main Street Solutions program.” This week the Governor’s office announced the winners of this year’s Main Street Solutions Fund Grants. The Company Shops Market project here in Burlington is one of the 8 communities around that state that will be receiving grant money from the State of North Carolina to help fund projects that promote the growth and sustainability of historic downtown areas.
