Wow, January sure flew by. Time flies when your having fun. Actually, I find that time really flies when you are working on creative projects. I’ll start working on something and before I know it, hours have past that felt like minutes.
Here’s a quick taste of some of the things I have been working on recently. Last month I had the opportunity to meet up with Chris Bartlett who was recently hired as the General Manager for Company Shops Market. He claims not be photogenic but I think this photo proves him wrong.
Chris is a really nice guy. It makes a difference when your leaders and managers are team players, upbeat and approachable. I have a hunch that Chris is going to create a really great ‘corporate culture’ at Company Shops Market where employees can feel their work is noticed and valued. I think that will translate into a really great experience for shoppers once this co-op grocery store opens this spring. But for now, he is busy working on store planning, finalizing building construction details and assembling a team to open and run the store. Company Shops Market Co-op Grocery, located in Downtown Burlington NC, will feature locally grown produce and meats as well as organic, all natural and wholesome food food options. Look for a grand opening in late spring 2011.
