I want to send out a big “HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE!” to my sweet husband. It has been an exciting year full of great memories, leaps of faith, challenges met, and acts of kindness. Thank you for holding my hand through this adventure we call life. I cant wait to see the things you will accomplish in the coming year.
Between the two of us (we were both February babies), it may well be a month full of birthday events and tonight was the kick-off. We started the evening with a few gifts. I got Nate a second cutting board so that when we try to cook together at the same time, we don’t have to negotiate who gets access to the cutting board. And some Burberry London for Men that smells yummy.
Next we popped over to Company Shops Market to meet up with our friends Darrell, Martiez and Julie. We chatted with friends and I tried the strawberry desert wine being sampled by Grove Winery. We were so busy chatting that I neglected to take any photos.
We hopped into the back seat with Darrell and Martiez and headed over to Anna Thai for some sushi and thai food dinner.
Nate had the Chicken Noodle Bowl (Chargrilled chicken breast with thin rice noodles, bean sprouts, fresh ginger in a lemon curry sauce topped with romaine lettuce)
And I had my usual Chicken Masaman Curry with Avocado (chicken in a peanut flavored curry served with potatoes, onions, cashew nut and avocado)
After dinner, Anna brought out some brownies for us to try (they were delicious, thank you!) and then Curtis and some of the staff streamed out of the kitchen singing happy birthday with a piece of their famous coconut cake. Thank you all for the sweet ending to our meal.
We rounded out the evening with a celebratory birthday beer at The Rusted Bucket. If you haven’t been there before, this cute little neighborhood bar is tucked into Burlington’s downtown historic district.
