I thought you might like a peek into our sweet Christmas Morning. Or possibly our Christmas Afternoon since we slept in late. We had so much fun opening our christmas gifts this year. Especially because so many of them were thoughtful, personal and even homemade. We received a number of cool books on topics such as how to make detailed snowflake cutouts and a cookbook for making dog treats. Our friends and neighbors gave us foodie delights such as homemade chocolate sauce. My mom sent me a framed sketch of my parents wedding day by artist Cary Smith and a set of CDs with my parent’s favorite songs from when they started dating in high school. Even more than the items we received, we feel so blessed by the love and care of our loving families and great friends. ~ Sarah
p.s. We have gotten pretty good at self-portraits over the years. In case you are wondering, we just popped up a tripod and set an intervalometer (similar to this) to 3 second intervals to capture the images used in the video. It just ran in the background while we opened our gifts.
