I have had a number of requests for photos of my steampunk halloween costume, so I added it into a recent studio “play day”. Here it is, minus some accessories. Nate had already helpfully packed them away with our other props of halloween past…. and I had no idea where to look for them. So just imagine some funky goggle glasses wrapped in copper wire, a victorian necklace and the vintagey ray gun I never got around to acquiring.
It is fun and freeing to take time to play with my camera… Time to try new things, break rules, create without pressure; with room for surprises, sparks of genius and epic failures. This first one is fun and pretty and just needs a cool ray gun to call it perfect.
But I also like these ones with darker exposures and slightly out of focus shots, drama and intrigue.
