How We Met: I was working as a hostess at Applebees when this guy walked in one night. He and a friend stayed until my shift ended. Somehow this wasn’t creepy and he convinced me to hang out with them. Then he gave me a tiny stuffed cow 🐄 with vegan slogans written all over it and introduced me to straight edge subculture. I think he singlehandedly convinced my mom that people with piercings and tattoos in heavy metal bands can be sweet and amazing people. Now we’re twice as old (yikes) and he and the lovely Laura are touring the country in an rv. Kevn & Laura met at a vegan baking contest…. All good things start with food??
Digital Nomad Inspiration:
While hiking the Few’s Ford section of Eno River State Park, Kevin tells the story of their decision to become digital nomads and full time RVers. The story ranges from reading Tim Ferriss’ 4 Hour Work Week and making plans to live cheap exploring Southeast Asia, starting a niche website as side revenue stream, to an eye opening work trip to Jackson Hole, WY that gave them a new perspective on all the amazing places to explore here in the US. So last year they shifted their plans, bought an RV, and have been exploring the US ever since.

The best things in life aren’t things! Laughter, friendship, shared experience, exploration, building community, being grateful, celebrating your life.
